02-The big picture about the course:

It's all about becoming a master mind. The first step is to familiarize with these things.

1.- Periodic Table

2.- Physics and Chemistry Laws

3.- Math Words

  • Learn the ionic charge for chemical bonds with the Octate Rule

Physics and Chemistry Laws: All equations here

Ideal Gas Law: PV = nRT

Heat Capacity  Q = mcT

Enthalpy: H = E+ PV

Math Words:

For ideal gas law, when we use words like "at" or "with" it means the variables are on the same side.

when we use two verbs together such as "is changed" " is rised" "is doubled" then it means one of the variables is changed, and thus we start dealing with the other side of the equation.

01-Objectives: What is High School Chemistry all about?

Besides making your life more difficult with extra stuff you're probably wondering how will it help you in real life, the main reason of this course is to teach 3 main skills:

1.- Critical Thinking: See what matters and what info doesn't. Connect the dots to get what you want.

2.- Math Skills: Even though you probably know them, it is quite a different thing to make sense of what it means when you have to "plug in."

3.-  Language Arts: When it comes to words, nothing more confusing than a word problem. By the end of the course, you should be able to say "I got this."
